The Design Story.
The NIO EVE Concept is the brands vision for an autonomous car of the future. EVE defines both the Design Philosophy and Identity of the brand NIO.
On my first day at NIO the project kicked off. 5 months later the NIO EVE Concept was finished in A-Class, ready to get built. The Showcar was released to public at the SXSW 2017 in Austin, Texas - a few months later in Shanghai and Beijing
It was a tremendous team work, where all design departments - such as CMF, Exterior, Interior, and UI UX - worked close together. It truly was a great experience for all of us.
Early Ideation Sketches
The Prototype.
After A-Class release the prototype phase started. 2 months later the showcar was finished and shipped to Austin, TX, United States.
The First Shooting - Blue EVE

The Public Release.
In March 2017 the NIO EVE Concept got released at the SXSX exhibition in Austin.
The Second Shooting. Champagne EVE
In 2018 a new version of the NIO EVE Concept got released at the Beijing Auto Show. Including new Exterior paint, Interior trim with new Accessoires (Bags, Pillows, Toys etc.) and wheels.
